Biosafetybioseguridad 02

At INGECLIMA we are aware of how important it is to have the proper facilities to work in the field of biosafety. That is why we offer complete "turnkey" facilities for BIOSAFETY laboratories.
BSLs: BSL-1, BSL-2 and BSL-3.

Complete design, layout, etc.
Watertight enclosures and doors with inflatable seal
Air treatment
HEPA filtration with safe change system
Laminar Flow Cabinets
Biological Safety Cabinets
Insulators (glove boxes)
Collection and treatment of biocontaminated effluents via BIOWASTE
Thermal and / or chemical inactivation
Laboratory animal facilities for research
CFR 21 Part. 11 Software for validated control. bioseguridad 03

Depending on the biohazard level, a laboratory can be classified according to its Biosafety Level:
Biosafety Level 1 (BSL-1).- This is the basic level of containment. The types of microorganisms present are not a danger to human health. At this level, laboratories are used for education and teaching.

Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2).- This level is applicable to laboratories for clinical purposes, diagnostic purposes, etc., where there are moderate-risk agents that cannot be transmitted via aerosol. Work procedures must include Biological Safety Cabinets. Other necessary barriers are sinks.bioseguridad 04

Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-1).- At this level, there is a risk of transmission of potentially life-threatening infections by inhalation. Protective barriers should be considered. All handling must be done in Biological Safety Cabinets or in watertight units. Other containment media include access control, double-interlocked doors, control of the airflow direction and a suitable pressure cascade among the rooms, previous premises and outside.

Biosafety Level 4 (BSL-1).- At this level, one works with agents that pose a high risk for life, which can be transmitted via aerosol, or agents that have no known vaccine or treatment. All handling carries with it a high risk of exposure, for both the operator and the environment and setting. Work is done in class III insulated cabins or wearing a full-body protective suit. The premises are often found in separate buildings or in completely isolated areas. A complex system of ventilation and waste treatment is required, to prevent hazardous agents from leaking.

BIOWASTE

Our engineering department designs, installs and validates treatment plants for biological inactivation (BIOWASTE) of all types of liquid waste that may be bio-contaminated. The decontamination process can take two forms:

Thermal Process and / or Chemical Process

Applicable to inactivation of the water collected in contaminated drains, coming from different areas such as: LSB-3 or LSB-4 Laboratories, Swilling Tanks, Drains, Showers, Washbasins, Autoclaves, CIP / SIP Systems, Concentrators, Digesters, Autoclaves, etc.
